Master Data Management
Open the sidebar section Master Data Management to work on menu structure, sellable items, modifiers, and tags. Expand the section, then choose a screen. You only see entries your administrator allowed.
In this help site, the left drawer uses the same order and names as the admin app. Overview is this page; detailed guides are linked below.
Screens in this section (same order as the menu)
- Overview — you are here.
- Categories — menu sections, types, images, import, reorder.
- Item Library — older full product list (create, edit, view, copy, assign attributes, bulk actions, import).
- Items — newer item list with location overrides where enabled.
- Variants — pick a product, then open its variant setup.
- Product attributes — reusable attributes and their values.
- Modifiers categories — group modifiers for easier assignment.
- Modifiers — individual modifier lines, inventory flags, import, order.
- Item tags — tag categories and tags for items.
Categories
Organise the menu into categories (for example “Mains” or “Drinks”). Add, edit, view, reorder, import, and set active or inactive as described in the Categories guide.
Item Library (legacy)
Older product list some teams still use. Newer work may use Items instead. Full steps for filters, table, create, edit, view, copy, assign attributes, bulk active/inactive, bulk edit, bulk clone, reorder, and import are in the Item Library guide.
Items (new)
Main place for menu items with names, prices, images, categories, and often per-store overrides. See the Items guide.
Variants
Find products, then open Manage variants to set sizes or other options per product. See the Variants guide.
Product attributes
Create and maintain attributes and their values for use on products (choices, rules, labels—depends on your setup). See the Product attributes guide.
Modifiers categories
Group modifiers (for example “Toppings”) before you attach them to items. See the Modifiers categories guide.
Modifiers
Create and maintain each modifier line, track inventory where needed, import, and change order. See the Modifiers guide.
Item tags
Manage tag categories and tags for organising items. This is separate from Tags under Settings—check the screen title if you are unsure which screen you need. See the Item tags guide.
General tips
- Use Save, Update, or Submit when the page offers it before leaving.
- If a control is disabled, you may lack permission or a required field may be empty.
- Long lists: use search and pagination at the top or bottom of the table.
