Half & Half
Half & Half lets customers combine two different products into a single item — most commonly used for pizzas (e.g., half BBQ Chicken, half Margherita). Each half can have its own modifiers, and pricing is calculated from each half's configured half price.
Admin portal only
Half & Half is enabled per product, and pricing rules are configured in the admin portal. Only products with Half & Half enabled will appear in the half & half selection on the POS. Pricing rules can also be set up to apply surcharges or adjustments based on the category combination of the two halves (e.g., a $2.00 surcharge when mixing a Gourmet half with a Classic half).
Using Half & Half on the POS
Starting a Half & Half Order
There are two ways to open the Half & Half dialog:
- From the product grid: Tap a product that has half & half enabled. If the product supports it, a Half & Half option appears.
- Within a combo group: Tap the Half & Half option inside a combo deal group (if the group allows it).

Selecting the Two Halves
- The Half & Half dialog opens, showing two sides: First Half and Second Half.
- Tap the First Half selector — a product selection screen opens, showing only half & half enabled products. Products can be filtered by category.
- Select a product for the first half.
- If that product has modifiers, a modifier selection screen appears — modifiers are applied to the first half only.
- Tap the Second Half selector and repeat the process.
- Both halves cannot be the same product — selecting the same product for both halves is not permitted.

Modifiers Per Half
Each half can have its own modifiers selected independently. After selecting a product for a half, the modifier selection screen appears for that half before returning to the Half & Half dialog. This means one half could have "Extra Cheese" while the other has "No Cheese".

Confirming and Adding to Cart
The price shown in the dialog updates in real time as products and modifiers are selected. Once both halves are selected, tap Confirm to add the item to the cart.
Pricing
The total price for a half & half item is calculated as:
Total = First Half's half_price
+ Second Half's half_price
+ Modifiers from First Half
+ Modifiers from Second Half
+ Pricing Rule adjustment (if a matching rule exists)| Scenario | Price Used |

How It Appears on the Cart & Receipt
A half & half item is shown as a single line item in the cart and on the receipt:

+ No Olives (free)- The line item name is "Half N Half".
- Below it, the left and right product names are listed.
- Any modifiers for each half are listed under their respective product name.
